I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.  ~Joshua 1:9

We can know that no matter what we are going through we are not alone even though at times we do not feel his presence. We have to remind ourselves sometimes that God is with us and has given us an unconditional promise that he is always with us.  We especially need to remember that when we are in the midst of sorrow and fear and so involved in our lives that we forget his word.

Help us think of ways to remember your presence in our lives.  Use our smartphone screen to show a scripture or Bible verse; put up a wall plaque with a favorite verse; set a recurring note on our smartphone that will remind us of God; help us  schedule daily devotional readings and prayer.

Heavenly Father:  Help us to know that you are always with us, help us to be strong, help us to be faithful, help us to remember that if we are overwhelmed with worry and sorrow, you are there for us. Amen.
