Colleen King

Adrienne Kruegar

My husband Allen and I joined UNITY in 2016. We have 3 boys: Jameson (8), Wyatt (6) and Brock (1). The older two attend Brookfield Elementry School and keep our lives very busy in various sports.

In my professional life, I am a tax/small business accountant at Spiegelberg Financial Services.

Leslie O'Connell

When I think of UNITY, I think of people who are “rooted and growing” – living our faith here and well beyond our walls. I think of people working to grow and change for the better. Our family includes my husband Greg and daughters Chloe and Grace. We’ve been part of UNITY for close to 20 years. We were first drawn by the meaningful “food for the soul” – and our relationship quickly deepened with the sense of community and vibrant youth program. During services, Greg is a familiar face at the piano and playing handbells. Chloe and Grace show up in a variety of roles for music and worship, and they love to volunteer at Waukesha Food Pantry, Hephatha and other partners. I stretched outside my comfort zone on the East Coast Road Trip and Appalachia Service Project!

Following a long career in corporate communications working for large companies and a global agency, I’ve earned my Associate Certified Coach credential and launched Team OC3, an executive coaching and communications consultancy. I work with leaders who are seeking to grow their confidence and capability in leading teams and organizations. I graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Ed Dominski

Cheryl and I joined UNITY (COL) in 2003 during the period BC (before children). We were drawn by the involvement of members, especially the youth. Then while visiting on Pentecost Sunday 2002 the praise band played “Let It Rain” by Eric Clapton and I knew we were in the right place. We have two daughters, Caitlin & Claire, who have enjoyed the youth opportunities from Sunday School and choirs to ECRT, Senior High and youth trips. Outside of church (okay, sometimes inside as well) you’re likely to find them in contact with a soccer ball.

I’m originally from Wauwatosa. Cheryl and I met at Marquette and after tours in Chicago and Indianapolis we’ve called Brookfield home since 2001. At UNITY I’ve been a member of Adult Programs and then Comm & Tech since its inception. My background is in engineering and business and I’ve worked in telecom for the last 25+ years. I enjoy sports, music, and photography.

Susie Sprecher

My two daughters, Kylie and Ellie, and I have been members of UNITY for almost 25 years. I was immediately drawn to UNITY (COL Campus) when the girls were very young by Jo Ann Tomm’s amazing smile and welcoming hug. Both Kylie and Elle were involved in a variety of youth offerings at UNITY including Sunday school, youth and high school trips like ECRT and the national youth gatherings.

I was blessed to have the opportunity to share in some of these trips and experiences with them as well. I have taught Sunday School, helped with confirmation classes and youth/high school events and trips throughout our years with UNITY. Most recently, I have assisted with worship services at UNITY, participated in bible study opportunities and I just went on the amazing El Salvador summer trip. This is my first time as a member of the church council.

Kylie graduated from Marquette University with her MBA and works here in Milwaukee. Ellie just started her senior year at Ball State University in Interior Design. I am originally from Madison, but Menomonee Falls has been our home for the last 25 years. I am a physical therapist by license, but I have been in healthcare management the last 17 years. I love sports (especially the Badgers), live music, staying active, warm weather and every minute I get with my girls!

Davida Kroepfl

My husband, Jon, and our two children (Michael and Keira) joined UNITY in October, 2013. We were looking for an ELCA church with a strong children's program and found our faith family at UNITY. I am currently involved at UNITY as a Sunday School teacher, an El Salvador scholarship team member, and I help mail the monthly newsletters. I attended the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh and am currently employed at Mercer as the leader of the implementation & support team for pension administration.

Phil Roemaat

Phil and his wife joined Cross of Life in 2009, shortly before they were married. Phil is originally from Green Bay. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin double majoring in Finance and Economics and attended Marquette University Law School. Phil works for Northwestern Mutual in its Advanced Planning department focusing on consulting and educating its financial advisors on business planning, estate planning, and tax planning. Phil and his wife have two small children and currently reside in Pewaukee. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to national parks, playing golf, and watching his hometown Green Bay Packers.

Tiffany Reay

Tiffany and her husband Scott have been UNITY members since 2006 and have two high school boys, Trent and Clyde. Tiffany works as a metallurgical engineer at Unit Forgings in West Allis and likes to hike, read, and cook in her off hours.

Hello there! I am Anna Jansson and my husband, Kyle, and I joined UNITY right before Covid hit. We absolutely loved UNITY’s focus on the children and were so excited to join such a special community. Well, we all know how those few years went, but now we are so happy to be back at church celebrating with each other. I am a stay at home mom to Emma, Ben, and Owen and our dog, Sadie. My family and I have lived in Brookfield for 8 years and before that Minnesota and Colorado.

I enjoy all the things that come with managing a household of young kids: a very full summer, school events, sports, volunteering in the classroom etc.. I also enjoy volunteering outside of the classroom and am an avid reader, love being outside and up north, and spending quality time with family and friends.

I look forward to getting to know more of the UNITY Community through Church Council and to welcoming those who are new to our church!

David Koenen

I grew up on a small dairy farm in Bulington, WI with 4 brothers. My Dad always said that God blessed the family with boys to help with the many chores and tasks on the farm. Mom made sure we were also adept around the house including cleaning, cooking, and of course making her famous chocolate chip cookies containing fresh picked hickory nut meats.

I pursued college and got a BS degree in business and a minor in mathematics. I moved to and lived in Greendale, WI. I worked in various roles from an account executive to the longest role as an auditor in the field of retirement administration for almost 36 years. My son Nick (oldest) and daughter Jess also went on to college to pursue their dreams and both are doing well. I have 2 grandsons Hunter and Finley of which I wish I could bottle the energy they have.

I have known my wife Diana (previously Stobbs) for over 30 years. Our friendship grew over the course of many events: parties, card nights/cribbage, birthdays, camping, vacations, football nights, and around the house help... to name a few. We just celebrated our 3rd Wedding anniversary and I have been a part of CTK and now Unity for over 4 years. (Diana much, much longer!)

My many interests include a passion for design and build woodworking projects. I enjoy fishing, when I have the time. I like playing volleyball, football, ping-pong, playing cards and games of chess!

Jackie Herington

Jackie and her husband, Joe, have been members of UNITY since 2010. Jackie has been involved with children ministries over the years and has now begun a term as Servant Ministries Chair.

Jackie and Joe met in college at Marquette University where they both competed on the cross country and track teams. They have now been married for 17 years and together they have a daughter, Violet, and a son, Maxwell, who are current elementary students in Pewaukee Public Schools. Jackie works as a Site Development Coordinator for Kohls Corporate and Joe works for GE Healthcare. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and the outdoors mainly by way of running, hiking, and camping.

Eric Borkenhagen

Eric and his wife, Cindy, along with their four children; Charlie, Harrison, Ava and Lia joined UNITY Lutheran Church in 2010. The family had just moved to Pewaukee from Waterford and after a couple of visits to Cross of Life campus, they were attracted to the overall message of the church and its vibrant youth program. And it didn’t hurt that it was only 5 minutes from their house.

After some “nudging” from Cindy, Eric became involved with the education program at UNITY as a Sunday school teacher. That was followed by helping out with the confirmation program. Eric enjoys joining his kids whenever possible as part of their youth events. This includes the overnight lock-ins, crazy uncle, the fast food relay, and fall trips to the corn maze and haunted house. He has been part of the East Coast Road Trip, Kentucky mission trip, and Boundary Water canoe trip. He likes to ski and is hoping to be part of the Devil’s Head ski trip one of these years.

Eric grew up in Waukesha and graduated from Waukesha South in 1990. He received a civil engineering degree from Marquette University and currently works at Kohl’s Department Stores in their property development department. He enjoys being outdoors and attending as many live music shows as possible.

Eric would like to thank the outgoing youth council chair, Eric Ebenhoch, for his tireless commitment and dedication to the youth at UNITY... “Where do I even begin? He has been super supportive and involved during this transition and I definitely have some big shoes to fill. If I can do 50% of what he accomplished, I will consider myself lucky. I tip my hat to one of the all-time greats to hold this position”.

Steve Johnson

Steve and his wife Linda joined CTK in 2012. Steve has been active at UNITY by ushering, reading, Worship Assistant and parking lot greeter. Steve was the chairman of the last Pastor Search Committee. He currently is the Orchestra Director, grades 1-12, at the University School of Milwaukee. He enjoys music, cooking, reading and traveling.

Steve and Linda have been married since 1989. Interim Pastor for CTK, Kris Totzke, was Linda’s Maid of Honor. Linda works for Old Republic Risk Management in Brookfield.
