A residential treatment facility, Aspen Center provides addiction treatment services specifically designed to help people experience lasting recovery and a newly improved life.  Their addiction treatment services provide support along a continuum of care, depending on what clients need to be successful on their recovery journey.  UNITY supports this important partner in a variety of ways.

Join us for Partner Meal Preps

WE’RE BACK!  Partner Meal Prep resumes Wednesday, October 1.  One Wednesday each month from 4:00-6:00 pm, 4 adults work with 4 Confirmation students in the COL kitchen to whip up a delicious Italian dinner for the men of Aspen Center!  There are many different ways you can participate:

• Shoppers: Pick up the needed items from a pre-made list.
• Sous Chefs: Roll up your sleeves and join the fun in the COL kitchen.
• Home Cooks: Prefer to boil water from your own kitchen? Make the noodles ahead of time!
• Home Bakers: Top off the meal by preparing a yummy dessert.
• Delivery Drivers: See smiles when you drop off the meal at Aspen Center.

Partner Meal Prep takes place on these Wednesdays: October 1, November 5, December 3, January 7, February 4, April 8, May 6 and June 3.  (No gathering in March due to Lent.)

Help Make Thanksgiving Dinner for Residents

Holidays are tough for people new to recovery, and all are away from their homes for the program.  Every year we like to encourage them with a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal!  We need a coordinator, shoppers, delivery people, and lots of cooks throughout the week and on the Wednesday that is the day before Thanksgiving.

Provide Gifts Through UNITY's Angel Trees

“Angel Trees” at our COL and CTK campuses are an easy way to give at Christmastime.  Each tree is adorned with tags for small thank you gifts for staff and residents at our partner ministries, as well as presents for kids at our partner churches.  Angel Trees are typically adorned with tags by Advent Fest (first Friday in December), with wrapped and labeled gifts due by mid-December.

Watch for Donation Requests

Items we have donated to Aspen Center in the past include:

• Board Games (Scrabble, Pictionary, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Payday, Uno)
• Cornhole Boards (bean bag toss games)

Watch for more needs to be announced, then drop off items labeled for Aspen Center at either campus.
