The joy of the Lord is your strength ~ Nehemiah 8:10

With the craziness of this year it has been hard to pick out the joy. The other day at work I was helping a woman look for a jacket over the phone. I was able to find what she was looking for and set it aside for her. Before we hung up she said, “You just made my day”. I was taken aback by her exclamation as I had spent no more than 5 minutes helping this woman find something she was looking for, but to her, it was such a great joy. As the Advent season continues and Christmas draws closer remember to appreciate all the little joys in your life, and acknowledge the people that bring you joy.

Good and Gracious God, in the busy holiday season, allow us to find moments of joy, no matter how small. May we use the joy you bring to our lives as strength to help us through any struggles we face. Amen.
