“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” ~John 3:16

The Nativity Story brings to life the wonder of God’s greatest gift - “Love”.

· Joseph reveals that genuine love not is not expressed in word or talk, but in deed and truth. (1 John 3:18)

· Mary shows us that love endures all things, hopes all things, and believes all things. (1 Corinthians 13:7)

· The Christmas Star confirms that God’s love and kindness shatters this world’s darkness. (Luke 1:78)

· The Wisemen remind us how love is patient, kind and not self-seeking. (1 Corinthians 13:4)

· The Heavenly Host’s song of peace and goodwill teaches us that we should love others as God has first loved us. (I John 4:11)

· The Shepherds demonstrate how love rejoices in the truth. (I Corinthians 13:6)  

· The Baby Jesus, asleep in the manger, proclaims unto all that God so loved the world that He sent his beloved Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (I John 4:10)

Lord of Love, in compassion for all people send anew your Son Jesus into our hearts so that by grace through faith we will not perish but receive eternal life. Amen.
